Join us for the first public transportation hackathon taking place on the weekend of 14-16 September 2017 at the Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC) – King Hussein Business Park. The hackathon is a three-day event that brings together the brightest developers, designers, and innovators to showcase their skills and creativity. Participants will build on Ma’an Nasel’s previous efforts in creating the database used in the Khutoutna app (available on iOS and Android), the first public transport trip planner for Amman. The data will be available for people to explore and use in different ways.

Teams will compete for the following cash prizes:
First place: 800 JD
Second place: 400 JD
Third place: 200 JD

Schedule Overview:
Thursday 14/9:
6:00 PM – 6:20 PM: Meet and greet + registration
6:20 PM – 6:50 PM: Presentations about public transportation in Jordan, the Khutoutna app, and available data and resources
6:50 PM – 10:00 PM: Start building your solution

Friday:
09:00 AM – Doors open; continue building your solution until the end of the day at 09:00 PM

Saturday:
09:00 AM – Doors open; continue building your solution until 04:00 PM
04:00 PM – Submit your work on github
04:15 PM – Present your ideas to the judges. The judges will then evaluate the projects and choose the three winning projects
06:00 PM – Announcement of winners

Meals and refreshments will be provided on Friday and Saturday.

شاركونا في أول هاكاثون يتناول موضوع النقل العام الذي سيقام في 14 – 16 أيلول 2017 في منصة زين للإبداع “ZINC” فرع مجمع الملك الحسين للأعمال. يجمع الهاكاثون المبرمجين والمصممين والمبتكرين ليعرضوا مهاراتهم وإبداعاتهم. وسيبني المشاركون على جهود مبادرة “معاً نصل” التي نتج عنها إنشاء قاعدة بيانات استخدمت في تطبيق “خطوطنا” (متوفر الآن نظامي الiOS و الAndroid) على الذي هو أول تطبيق لتنظيم الرحلات من خلال وسائط النقل العام في عمّان. وسيتم توفير البينات لكل المشاركين لإستخدامها وإستكشافها من خلال وسائل مختلفة.

ستتنافس الفرق على الجوائز التالية:

المركز الأول – 800 دينار
المركز الثاني – 400 دينار
المركز الثالث – 200 دينار

04:00: تحميل النتائج على “github”
04:15: تقديم الأفكار للجنة التحكيم. يتبع ذلك تقييم اللجنة للمشاريع وإختيار الفائزين
