SUMMARY:Public Transportation Hackathon
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the first public transportation hackathon taking place on the weekend of 14-16 September 2017 at the Zain Innovation Campus (ZINC) – King Hussein Business Park. The hackathon is a three-day event that brings together the brightest developers\, designers\, and innovators to showcase their skills and creativity. Participants will build on Ma’an Nasel’s previous efforts in creating the database used in the Khutoutna app (available on iOS and Android)\, the first public transport trip planner for Amman. The data will be available for people to explore and use in different ways. \nTeams will compete for the following cash prizes:\nFirst place: 800 JD\nSecond place: 400 JD\nThird place: 200 JD \nSchedule Overview:\nThursday 14/9:\n6:00 PM – 6:20 PM: Meet and greet + registration\n6:20 PM – 6:50 PM: Presentations about public transportation in Jordan\, the Khutoutna app\, and available data and resources\n6:50 PM – 10:00 PM: Start building your solution \nFriday:\n09:00 AM – Doors open; continue building your solution until the end of the day at 09:00 PM \nSaturday:\n09:00 AM – Doors open; continue building your solution until 04:00 PM\n04:00 PM – Submit your work on github\n04:15 PM – Present your ideas to the judges.
