Subject: The Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC) is pleased to invite your children to take part in the “Kids Film Club – Beginners 2018”.

Time & Date: From 18th until 26th July 2018, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Including Friday and Saturday

Location: The Royal Film Commission – Jordan, Jabal Amman, 1st Circle – 5 Omar Bin Khattab Street.

About the sessions:
The Kids Film Club is an intensive educational program in filmmaking for children. In a short period of 9 days, participating kids will be instructed on the basics of writing, directing, camera and digital editing. Afterward, each participant writes, directs, shoots and edits a short film under the supervision of a trained professional, Mohammed al-Darradji.

The language of the sessions: Arabic.

Targeted Participants: Children between 6 and 13 years old

About the Trainer: Mohammed al-Darradji

Born in Baghdad, 1978, Mohammed al-Darradji completed his two Masters degrees in Cinematography and Directing at the Northern Film School in Leeds.

He established the Iraqi Independent Film Center for the purpose of cultivating an independent spirit and approach for feature films and shorts for both experienced and emerging filmmakers alike.

• Writer/Director “Ahlam”, 2005 (Oscar and Golden Globe Consideration).
Fees: 70 Jordanian Dinars per child.
The Kids Film Club – Summer Edition includes meals served for the participants throughout the workshop.
Please do not enroll your child in the workshop if he/she can’t fully commit to these full-time training sessions for 10 days. Also note that incomplete applications will not be considered.
