The MAUS Seminar – Educational shorts for children in refugee and marginalized communities. – An invitation for NGO practitioners, for volunteers, teachers and pedagogical staff who work with children (elementary school age).

The seminar will introduce 24 stories (in Arabic) from the famous German TV series with the “Maus”. The material will be available for free for educational purposes.

What is the TV program with the “Maus”?
The program “Die Sendung mit der Maus” is one of Germany´s most popular children’s TV programs. It has been on air ever since 1971, and it is being produced by the “Westdeutscher Rundfunk” (WDR) in Cologne.

Its branding is the animated “Maus” – a character that solves problems in a happy and relaxed way.

Short “stories” address issues from the world of an elementary school age child, asking “Why?” things work as they do and how natural phenomena can be explained.
