A cruel war has taken two brothers’ home. Their mother overprotects them, anxious her sons could come in danger if they leave the house. But the boys chase their dream to play a music instrument they’ve fallen in love with: a beautiful oud. They collect scrap metal to earn money and find out that their mother’s fears were justified. But as strong birds will always fly, the two boys become one to overcome their trauma.

The film has won the Gold Medal at the 2016 Student Academy Awards for Best Foreign Animation. It has competed for the Muhr Short Films Competition at Dubai International Film Festival, where it had its World Premiere.

The Pact

A short stop-motion animated Film Noir set in the 40’s portrays the interplay between love and violence. In this Noir, a Palestinian femme fatale is married to a British merchant, and she does not negotiate betrayal.
