Come join us at Shams Community this Monday for a night of dialogue, reflection, and Iftar! this monday’s topic will be charity. . Everyone is welcome to join from different beliefs and backgrounds.

تعالوا وانضموا إلينا في مجتمع شمس في ليلة من من الحوار والتفكير ,ولتناول الافطار , حيث سنقوم سنتحدث عن الاعمال الخيرية . اهلا وسهلا بالجميع .

From now on, we will meet for the usual Dinner (Iftar) and Dialogue at 7:00 pm, after the sun goes down around 7:30 . We will provide soup, salad and a main dish, and dialogue starts at 8:00.

من الآن فصاعداً ، سوف نجتمع مع موعد (الإفطار) والحوار في الساعة 7:00 مساءً ، عند موعد الإفطار 7:40 , سوف نقدم الشوربة والسلطة وطبق رئيسي ونبدء الحوار الساعة 8:10 .

What should you expect?
1. Connect with another 20 – 30 people from diverse backgrounds, and be ready to be inspired.
2. Exchange your knowledge and ideas and participate in dialogue with other global minds.
3. Enjoy your dinner, drinks, and conversation.

ماذا عليك أن تتوقع خلال هذه الليلة ؟
1. مقابلة مجموعة من الناس المختلفة من خلفيات ثقافية متنوعة .
2. تبادل المعرفة والأفكار مع المشاركين.
3. استمتع بالطعام الحوار والأمسية.

How much will it cost?
We ask for a 6 JD contribution towards the cost of the food and hosting of the event. This includes the food, participation in the event, as well as water and tea.

نقوم بالعادة طلب مبلغ 6 دنانير لتغطية تكاليف الافطار , واستضافة الفعالية, نقوم أيضاً بتوفير مياه و شاي للجميع .

What is “Dinner & Dialogue”?
Dinner and Dialogue is one of Shams Community’s weekly gatherings where we talk about a different topic. Everyone is welcome to join to contribute their unique knowledge, passion and perspective.

عشاء وحوارات هو أحدى لقاءات مجتمع شمس الأسبوعية حيث نتحدث في كل جلسة عن موضوع مختلف, مرحب بالجميع للانضمام في مشاركة خبراتهم الفريدة, شغفهم ووجهات نظرهم المتنوعة, جميع المشاركين لهم نفس المساحة لتقديم أفكارهم ومشاركة خبراتهم.

Dialogue is necessary in a modern world characterized by contrast and change. Dialogue can help overcome prejudice and create understanding of other people’s perspectives. It can show us new ways of perceiving the world. And it can expand our horizon. Dialogue enables us to reach across an abyss of difference, as long as we see and recognize each other for what we are: different yet all human beings in the same world.

الحوار ضروري جداً في عالمنا الحديث الذي يتسم بالتناقض والتغيير المستمر. يساعد الحوار على التغلب على التحيزات وأن يخلق فهما لآراء ووجهات نظر الآخرين. ويمكن أن يظهر لنا طرقاً جديدة لفهم العالم من حولنا وتوسيع مداركنا, كما أن الحوار يتيح لنا الوصول لنقاط تلاقي في المواضيع المختلفة، طالما أننا نرى و نعترف ببعضنا البعض لما نحن عليه الآن.

How to find us?
We are located in Jabal Amman. At the end of Rainbow Street, turn right onto the street called Omar Ibn Alkhattab. Walk on the left side of the street past Montage Cafe and the Royal Film Commission. Walk past the first set of stairs on your left, just before you reach Books@Cafe (on the other side of the street). There is a second set of short stairs on your left. Look for the rainbow chalk and house with the green door.

كيف تلاقونا؟
موقعنا موجود في جبل عمان, شارع عمر بن الخطاب.. من نهاية شارع الرينبو انعطف يمين في شارع عمر بن الخطاب, الدرج الثاني بعد مونتاج كافيه وقبل بوكسات كافيه على اليسار دخلة الدرج الثانية في نهايته بتلاقي منزل مجتمع شمس وبابه لونه أخضر.
