عمل فراس شحادة في دارة الفنون من 2010 – 2013، قبل الانتقال إلى إسبانيا لتطوير ممارساته الفنيّة، ثم النمسا حيث يدرس حاليّاً في أكاديميّة فينّا للفنون الجميلة. اختير أحد أعماله للمشاركة في بيرلينيالي الـ64 في برلين العام 2014، وأقام العام 2015 أول معرض فردي له في برشلونة. يستكشف عمله علاقته بالمكان وتأثير السلطة على تحريف الوعي والهويّة الجمعيّة. من خلال اهتمامه بالتأثيرات ما بعد الاستعماريّة والواقعيّة المفرطة والتاريخ

Firas Shehadeh worked at Darat al Funun from 2010-2013, before moving to Spain to develop his artistic practice, and then to Austria, where he currently studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. In 2014 his work was selected for the 64th Berlinale in Berlin, and in 2015 he had his first solo show in Barcelona, Spain. His work explores his relationship with space and the influence of authority on the alteration of collective consciousness and identity. He is interested in postcolonial effects, hyperreality, and history

Firas will talk about the development of his artistic practice in Europe, his experiences at the Academy in Vienna, and present his recent research on Berlin-Baghdad. The talk will be in Arabic
