JOrchestra, the Italian tenor Michele Silvestri , Russian Soprano Svetalana Kupavina and NMC singers together for Al Quds Concert.
“Al Quds” is the upcoming concert of the Jordanian National Orchestra, which brings on stage the Italian tenor Michele Silvestri, Russian Soprano Svetlana Kupavina and the singers Natlie Saman and Bisan Kamal for a unique medley of famous Opera arias and traditional Arabic songs. The programme includes a rich variety of pieces, among which “E lucevan le stelle” by Giacomo Puccini, “La donna è mobile” by Giuseppe Verdi and “Zahrat Al Mada’in” by the Rahbani Brothers. The concert conducted by Maestro Mohammad Sidiq will take place at 8.00 PM, at Al Hussein Cultural Centre (Downtown) in Amman.

Michele Silvestri is a tenor, who studied composition at the Giovanni Paisiello di Taranto Conservatory, at the age of 12, where he interrupts his studies to devote himself to the study of opera in Milan. He studied film acting at the Academy Jenny Tamburi of Rome with the Maestro Vito Palumbo and Maestro Andrea Simonetti. He has perfectioned his vocal and technical skills under the guide of Nicola Martinucci, Andrea Elena and Gianfranca Ostini and has debuted, since 2008, in main roles such as Duca di Mantova (Rigoletto), Alfredo (La Traviata), Rodolfo (La Bohème). From 2013 he is one of the leading tenors of the international opera show of the musical Belcanto, produced by Luigi Caiola for Arslab. He performed in world renowned theaters, such as the New York City Center in New York, the Théâtre des Variétés in Paris, Folies Bergère and the Théâtre du Châtelet also in Paris, The National Palace of Culture in Sofia, the State Opera in Burgas, in Stara Zagora and in Plovdiv, the Arenas de Frejus Nice, the Teatro Eliseo in Rome, Teatro Gian Carlo Menotti in Spoleto, Teatro Acacia Naples, the Teatro Duse in Bologna and many other world-renowned theaters. Since 2000 he has participated in national and international television and cinema productions, such as “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, directed by Michael Hoffman, “Red Bracelets”, directed by Giacomo Campiotti, “Quo go”, directed by Gennaro Nunziante, “The Invisible Boy 2”, directed by Gabriele Salvatores.
The italian tenor will sing a duet with Russian Soprano Svetlana Kupavina, performing “Libiamo ne lieti calici” by Giuseppe Verdi, “Time to say Goodbye” by Bocelli and “Nessun Dorma” by Giacomo Puccini.
Bisan Kamal and Natalie Samaan, two singers of the National Music Conservatory, will also be performing several pieces by the Rahbani Brothers.
