Marish, a 52-year-old Hungarian woman, has been serving a family for a decade, working 20 hours a day without getting paid. Her employers took away her ID card and she is not allowed to leave the house without permission.
Drawing courage from the filmmaker’s presence, she decides to escape the unbearable oppression and become a free person.
The documentary has won the Jury Prize at the long documentary competition at Ismailia International Film Festival, the Golden Athena Award for Best Documentary at Athens International Film Festival, the Human Rights Award at Dokufest International Documentary and Short Film Festival, the Spa City Best International Documentary Award at Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival.
