About Etihad String Quartet

In the words of Kahlil Gibran,
“Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife.”

A universal force that touches each and every one of us, music is often heralded as a powerful art form capable of uniting hearts and minds through its timeless, wordless appeal.

Given the deep connection that we have with music, in March 2017, Bank al Etihad founded a musical ensemble titled ‘Etihad String Quartet’ as per the vision of its Chairman Isam Salfiti. Bringing together two violinists, one violist and one cellist, the string quartet aims to spread and inspire an appreciation of classical music across the Kingdom, thereby helping to enrich Jordan’s cultural scene.

Our Objectives:
To enrich the local cultural and artistic scene and increase the appeal of classical music in society
To promote the timeless music of the great classical composers.
To make classical music more accessible to the community
To inspire music education and training among the next generation
