After two editions of SA7RA-OUI – a musical adventure in Wadi Rum – jordanian musician Shadi Khries creates the WADI RUM Electro FESTIVAL in collaboration with the Bedouins. Two days in the beautiful jordanian desert with an international Line Up … Let us bathe in the setting sun and groove to the moon’s mystical desert groove.

This cultural and musical festival in WADI RUM is dedicated to the local and international audience. The purpose is to work with native Bedouins, share their music and culture and explore the possibilities of fusing it within a different setting. It s based on sustainable development process with them around cultural exchanges

MEETING for the ride to Wadi Rum :

– Friday 30th March 2017 @ 7th circle – Amman
8:30 am – tickets checking & get your festival bracelets
10 am – buses move
3 pm – arrival to Wadi Rum village and get in bedouin jeeps to reach the camp (10mn ride)
3:45 pm – meet and greet for everyone in the camp, install your tents
5 pm – Festival Opening : DJ SETS till 4 am

– Saturday 31st March 2017
6 am – sunrise
8 am to noon – special CHILL OUT Dj set under a bedouin tent
Wake Up in the desert camp and have some traditional breakfast
afternoon – activities
5 pm – 2nd night of music : DJ SETS till 4 am with our Surprise Guests from Paris !

– Sunday 1st April 2017
6 am – sunrise
7 am to 8 am – wake Up in the desert camp and traditional breakfast
8 am – dismantling your tents and prepare your luggage
9:15 am – head out of the camp to the village with jeeps
10 am – buses are leaving to Amman
3 pm – Arrival to Amman

RULES :
1- 300 people maximum on site (included artists & team)

2- DO NOT LITTER – or JUST PICK UP YOUR TRASH – Leave the camp in a better condition that when you came.
Remember Wadi Rum is a natural reserve and a home for many.

3- If you plan to sleep early – bring some ear plugs

4- For people coming outside into Jordan, your PASSPORT has to be valid a minimum of 6 months from your travel date tone able to enter the country.

5- Visa requirements- most international passports will have to pay their visa directly at the airport (JOD 40) please make sure you check if there are any other restrictions by contacting the Jordanian embassy in your country or by visiting http://international.visitjordan.com/GeneralInformation/EntryintoJordan.aspx

6- Be carefull ! no drugs allowed in Jordan on pain of imprisonment / our security staff will be straight about that or any wrong behaviour

7- plan to visit Petra or other sites in Jordan during your stay? We recommend you purchase your visa online for a discounted rate including all the sites at www.jordanpass.jo

WHAT TO BRING :
– around 25° during the day and sunny

– what ever you would like to consume during your stay [water, snacks…] you have to bring with you ahead of time

– everyone must absolutely bring his own sleeping bag

– you must bring a small tent for those who wish to sleep (on the sand) + a camp mat if you need one

– bring warm pieces of clothing as it gets cold at night (around 11°) and light torch

COST SHARING – around 95 JOD (110 €) per person
2 days /2 nights – Price includes :

– Transport Bus ride from Amman to Wadi Rum Village (go and back) + transport to and from the camp (jeeps)
– 2 big collectiv opened tents to chill
– Bedouin fires & tea
– a Bedouin dinner meal and a traditional breakfast x 30 & 31 march
– bathrooms (showers / wc)

– Djs Sets / 12 artists / from 5 pm to 4 am x 30 & 31 march
– Special Chill Out Dj set under a bedouin tent on 31st morning
– A traditional bedouin concert

On 31st march, you can add activities as jeep tour 2 hours in the desert (5 Jod paid in the camp)
