إخراج ربيع مروّة وأداء ياسر مروّة

يدعو ربيع مروّة في عرض “أمتطي غيمة” شقيقه ياسر ليمثّل دور نفسه. أصيب ياسر أثناء الحرب الأهليّة اللبنانيّة وفقد صوته جراء الإصابة. وأثناء العرض، تندمج تسجيلات الفيديو مع الذكريات التي تروى على المسرح لخلق صورة شخصيّة لتاريخ لبنان السياسي. يصف العرض العمليّة الهشّة لخلق السيرة الذاتيّة التي تجمع ما بين الأحداث السياسيّة والذكريات والوقائع والخيال.

إتفقنا على أنني أَقفُ الآن على خَشَبة المسرح. أَلعبُ شَخْصِيَّةً تَحمل الإسم نفسه الذي أحمله.
أنا إسمي ياسر. أنا شخصيّةٌ مُتَخَيّلة. ياسر في المسرح يٌشْبِه ياسر في الحياة الواقعيّة.
في الواقع لَيْسَ هناك سُوَى ياسر واحد: “أنا”. ياسر نفسه هُنا وَهُناك.
إتفقنا على أنّه مِنَ المُفيد أنْ أَلعب هذا الدور، وأنْ أَتعلّم أنّ كل شيء على المسرح هو تخييليّ.
إتفقنا على أنه عليَّ أنْ أَعي أنّه لا ياسر واحد فقط، بَلْ هُناك ياسران وثلاث ورُبَّما مِئة ياسر وأكثر.
ولكن كيف لِياسر في المسرح أنْ يَكون مُخْتَلِفاً عنْ ياسر خارج المسرح ؟ من يكون “هو”؟ من يكون “أنا”؟
كيفَ لهُ أنْ يَكون مُختلفاً في حين أَنَّنِي أَلعب نفسي الآن؟
إتفقنا على أنْ أَتعلّم ما معنى: أنْ أَلعب… أنْ أُمثّل .
إتفقنا على أنْ أَتعلّم التفريق بين ما هو تخييليّ و ما هو ليس بتخييلي، بين ما هو حقيقيّ وما هو ليس بحقيقي.
هذه كلماتي على الرغم من أنّ الصوت ليس صوتي.
هذه قصتي الحقيقيّة على الرغم من أنّ الأفكار ليست أفكاري.
هذه أفكاري على الرغم من أنّ القصة ليست قصتي الحقيقيّة.

Riding on a Cloud

The theatre piece of the director Rabih Mroué is an impressive combination of the personal and political: for Riding on a Cloud he invites his brother Yasser to play the role of a character that resembles him personally. A person who was injured in the Lebanese civil war and lost his ability to use words, Yasser began to shoot videos, which fuse with his recounted memories on stage to form a subjective picture of the political developments in Lebanon. Riding on a Cloud also describes the fragile construction of biography, which emerges between political reality, memories, facts, and fiction. For Mroué this is always the starting point for artistic self-reflection, which he then transposes for the theatre and exhibitions

Pictures; one disappears and another appears. Most of the time, he doesn’t understand the connection between a picture and the one next to it
He needs someone who knows him well to tell about it and set the picture in motion, so it’s not still anymore.
When memories in the head are like still pictures with no scenes from the past, how does the memory work?
