Celebration of Constitution Day 2016

India is the largest and most vibrant democracy. The Constitution of India, which is the largest written Constitution in the world, provides in detail the rights and duties of citizens of India and also guides the Indian democracy and its 3 branches – (i) Executive, (ii) Legislature and (iii) Judiciary. Indian Constitution has stood the test of time and continues to strengthen the Indian democratic values in a country that truly represents unity in diversity.

2. Embassy of India in Amman will be celebrating Constitution Day on November 27, 2016 (Sunday) at the Embassy premises from 1600 to 1730 hours.

3. The celebrations will consist of following activities:

(i) Reading of Preamble of the Constitution of India, both in Hindi and English language and
(ii) Screening of documentary “SAMVIDHAN” – An RS TV presentation.

4. All Indian nationals in Amman, PIO, Friends of India, ITEC & ICCR scholars and students of Jordanian universities/institutions are cordially invited to take part in the celebration.

5. Light refreshments will be served after the event.
