اهلا بكم بسباق 5 كيلو السنوي الأول لمحافظة الزرقاء حيث تستضيف الأكاديمية الأمريكية الأردنية وبرعاية عطوفة محافظ الزرقاء الدكتور محمد السميران, واحتفالا بمناسبة عيد الأستقلال يوم الخميس الموافق 25-5-2017, مشاركة 15 طالب من كل مدرسة وبمشاركة 12 مدرسة مختلفة بمحافظة الزرقاء. للطالبات وطلاب الصف السادس والسابع والثامن فقط.
.التجمع والختام سيكون بمبنى الاكاديمية في الزرقاء الجديدة الساعة السابعة صباحا, وعلى كل مشترك احضار شجرة للتبرع بها لتجميل الزرقاء الحبيبة

ZARQA 5K RACE 2017

Dear Schools, Families & Fellow Students,

American Academy Jordan is excited to host the first annual ZARQA 5K RACE from
7-11am, Thursday, 25 May 2017 in celebration of Jordan Independence Day. There will be 15 students selected from 12 different schools to run the race. Only grades 6 through 8 may participate. AAJ is thankful to host this event under the patronage of Governor Dr. Mohammed Asameeran. Welcome to the ZARQA 5K RACE!

COST: In honor of Jordan Independence Day, as a community, we want to bless our city by planting trees and supporting water drip-irrigation in Zarqa. Though the race is free for students, we ask each student bring a tree or plant to donate to participate in blessing our beautiful country.

HOW TO PREPARE: As always before a race, runners should get good rest and eat a good meal the night before. Be sure to eat a regular breakfast to have energy before the race. AAJ will provide water and a basic snack on race day.

THE RACE: During the race, students will run with two staff members from his or her school. Meanwhile, families may enjoy the festivities at AAJ while the students are running (Approximately 40mins). Runners will have checkpoints along the way with the opportunity for water and a snack if needed. Runners should pace themselves and focus on the designated path ahead. We thank our police and medical support for their service this special event!

PUBLIC RELATIONS: Photos and interviews may be posted to social media, TV, and other venues of media in celebrating this national holiday. Participating in this event will be considered agreement to such terms and conditions.
