Cos\u00ec come la creta, assorbendo l\u2019acqua, diventa modellabile, trasformabile, mutabile, cos\u00ec il movimento corporeo e sonoro, in equilibrio tra pieno e vuoto, tra tensione e distensione, \u00e8 in continua trasformazione. Un\u2019incessante transizione di forme. Il movimento si ascolta, il suono si vede, l\u2019immagine si tocca. Un insieme di movimenti ed armonie possibili creano un tessuto musicale e coreografico che si compone e si scompone ogni volta.<\/p>\n

\ncR\u00e9Ta is a choreographic concert created by Maristella Martella dancer\/choreographer and Gabriele Panico, musician and composer.
\nThe body movement and the sound are flexible, plastic and transformable, just as clay (in Italian: Creta) when it absorbs water – balancing between fullness and emptiness, between the tension and the distension, in continuous transformation. It is an endless transition of shapes. One can hear the movement, see the sound and touch the picture, create new interior and exterior passages, that evoke new sensations.<\/p>\n
Embrace the contemporary by recalling voices and gestures of ancient women. The musicality of movement and the physicality of sound conduct the spectator to the rituality characteristic for Mediterranean dances. Musical trajectories in Creta bring together archaic voices and rhythms from different latitudes. This fascinating live music, processed with electronic instruments, merges with a choreography, constantly searching for a dialogue between contemporary sound and the theatricality of the ethno-contemporary dance.<\/p>\n
MARISTELLA MARTELLA<\/p>\n
Maristella Martella, dancer and choreographer from Salento (Italy). She carries out a theatre and dance research on Tarantism and on Mediterranean dance and rituals. She is leading dance and choreography ateliers in professional dance schools. Choreographer and director of the Tarantarte Dance Company and their numerous dance-theatre performances. Dancer and choreographer of dance videos directed by Edoardo Winspeare and by Azzura Lugari. She has collaborated with: Ludovico Einaudi, Giovanni Sollima, Goran Bregovic, Phil Manzanera, Fathy Salama, Parvathy Baul, Eugenio Bennato, Antonio Infantino, Lucio Dalla, Roberto Castello, Mario Perrotta, Officina Zo\u00e8 and many others.<\/p>\n
GABRIELE PANICO<\/p>\n
Composer, producer, performer and musicologist Gabriele Panico explores the world of contemporary music. He has always investigated the potential developments of modern musical languages writing for soloists, chamber ensembles and orchestras, working with acoustic and electronic instruments. His special commissioned operas have been performed at the Tokyo National Academy, the E-Muzik Prize in Cologne, Classical:Next Wien, Classical:Next Rotterdam, the Ircam Espace in Paris, the Taukay Festival in Udine, the Risonanzexp\u0148 in Pescara, the De Musica \u2013 Rome Laboratories, the National Film Archive of Rome, Ritratti Music Festival, the Urticanti Festival in Bari and more. Since 1998, Gabriele Panico has directed the Larssen network (live set performances and creative djset), which is dedicated to electronic music and has produced numerous albums and singles.<\/p>\n
