Following the development of her approach in the first iteration of \u201cA Pattern Language\u201d in Beirut, Grace Aaraj leads this multidisciplinary workshop to analyze the city of Amman, targeting the issue of pedestrianism. The participatory outcome of the workshop is a documented guide to better approach our city and \u2013 later on \u2013 affect it.<\/p>\n

About Grace Aaraj<\/p>\n
Grace Aaraj is a recipient of the Fulbright and the Japan JASSO scholarships. She received her Master\u2019s Degree in Architecture from the University of Oregon with a focus on sustainable urbanism and community engagement. She is an accredited LEED AP BD+C. After working in Portland and Honolulu, she returned to Beirut where she co-founded ArchiBuild, a design-build practice with a portfolio of diverse projects and interventions. Her designs and publications have been exhibited and published in Haiti, Egypt, Japan, USA and Europe. Her research interests focus on architectural education and the application of public interest design. She teaches architecture at the Lebanese American University and Beirut Arab University.<\/p>\n
