International Day of Yoga 2017 in Amman, Jordan<\/strong>
\nWednesday, June 21 at 5:30 PM – 8 PM<\/strong>
\nInternational Day of Yoga is a global event celebrated on 21 June every year to promote Yoga as way to healthy and holistic life. Embassy of India, Amman will be organising the International Day of Yoga, at the historic and iconic site of Citadel Amman on Wednesday, 21 June 2017. All Yoga practitioners, enthusiasts, Indians living in Jordan, friends of India and public at large, are cordially invited to participate in the event. Yoga instructors from prestigious Yoga Institutes in Amman will perform interactive yoga sessions live with the public at the event. Hon\u2019ble Minister of Youth of Jordan, H.E. Mr. Hditha Al Khreisha, has graciously consented to be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
\nProgramme Outline
\nVenue : Citadel, Amman (Events Square Area) https:\/\/goo.gl\/rbLJ3g<\/em><\/span>
\nDate Time : Wednesday, 21 June 2017 1730 \u2013 2000 hrs.
\n1730 Participants assemble at the Events Square in Citadel.
\n1800 Arrival of the Chief Guest Hon\u2019ble Minister of Youth of Jordan, H.E. Mr. Hditha Al Khreisha
\n1800-05 Welcome address by the Ambassador,
\n1805-15 Remarks by the Chief Guest
\n1815-1900 Common Yoga Protocol \u2013 to include all sets of recommended Yoga postures as sent by the Ministry of External Affairs \/ ICCR.
\nPerformance of Yoga exercises by the participants with the guidance of Yoga teachers based out of different Yoga Institutes of Amman in coordination with the Embassy of India in Jordan.
\n1900 \u2013 1915 Motion of Thanks for the Chief Guest and all the stakeholders at the event
\nAward of Certificates of Appreciation to Partnering Institutes.
\n1915 \u2013 1930 Interaction with the Yoga Stalls set up by different Yoga Institutes at the event \u2013 Limited to yoga discourses etc.
\n1930 Breaking fast with water\/soft drinks and conclusion of the event.
\nParticipants are requested to be attired in comfortable exercise attire – T-shirt & track pants \/ clothing comfortable for exercises is recommended. For ease of exercises and their own comfort, it is desirable that participants bring their exercise\/yoga mats.
\nThe programme is tentative and is subject to last minute rescheduling.
