She also serves as the elected Chair at the Global Institute of Certified Management Consultants. Until 2014\, she was the elected Chair of the board for the Institute of Management Consultants and Trainers in Jordan. Tamara is a founding member of Girls in Tech\, Jordan Chapter\, and serves on its board\, as well as on the board of the Business and Professional Women Association in Jordan.\nTamara was selected to take part in the 2009 Fortune/ U.S. State Department Global Women Leaders Mentoring Partnerships\, as well as the Presidential Entrepreneurship Summit. She was ranked 39 on the Most Powerful Arab Women for 2011\, was on the list of Power 500 (Most Influential Arabs) for three years in a row\, and was recognized by Forbes Middle East as one of the 200 Most Powerful Arab Women for 2014. Additionally\, she has been recognized as one of the ten women entrepreneurs to watch in emerging economies by Business o Feminin.\nBorn in 1976\, Tamara graduated from the University of Jordan in Amman\, where she received her bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance with honors. She became a certified public accountant and started her professional career in 1997 as an accountant at the Computer and Engineering Bureau (CEB). In 1998\, Tamara was assigned the Financial Manager position at the CEB group of companies and in 2001\, she became the Chief Planning Officer.\nThis workshop series is aimed at High School Students and funded by the Soraya Salti Youth for Youth Series. Admission is free for all participants\nOpening talk by Tamara Abdel-Jaber followed by The Basics of Developing a Business Model Canvas workshop\nParallel sessions – The following sessions will be taking place simultaneously.
