SUMMARY:The Identity of Places and People of Jordan
DESCRIPTION:Jean-Michel de Tarragon\nJean-Michel de Tarragon\, born 1945 in France. He became a Catholic priest in 1972. Since 1973 he is in East-Jerusalem as a permanent member of the French Ecole Biblique. He studied cuneiforms (PhD) and old canaanite languages\, teached ancient history connected to the Bible. He participated in the archaeological digs of the Ecole Biblique since 1973\, and became the assistant photographer of the archaeological activities of Ecole – in Jordan and in the Gaza Strip. Retired from active teaching\, he is now full time in charge of the photo-collection of the Ecole Biblique in Jerusalem. His scanned collection reached in 2017 the total of 25\,000 scans of old photos of mainly Palestine\, Jordan\, Lebanon and Syria. Jean-Michel organized over twenty-five photo-exhibitions.\nFrom Jordan River to Desert\, Landscape and People\nThe exhibition presents a great collection of old images from the archives of the Biblical school of Jerusalem\, reflecting the identity of Jordan; places and people \nجان-ميشيل تاراجون\nولد جان-ميشيل تاراجون في فرنسا عام 1945، وأصبح قسيس كاثوليكي عام 1972، ويقيم في القدس الشرقية منذ عام 1973 كعضو دائم في مدرسة الكتاب المقدس الفرنسية. نال جان-ميشيل الدكتوراة في الكتابة المسمارية واللغات الكنعانية القديمة، وعّلم التاريخ القديم المتصل\nبالانجيل. شارك في التنقيبات الاثرية لمدرسة الكتاب المقدس منذ عام 1973، وأصبح المصور المساعد للانشطة الاثرية التابعة للمدرسة – في الاردن وفي قطاع غزة. بعد استقالته من التدريس الدائم، يعمل الان بشكل دائم مسؤو ًلا عن المجموعة الفوتوغرافية لمدرسة الكتاب المقدس في القدس. تصل عدد نسخه الممسوحة ضوئي في عام 2017 إلى 25000 نسخة لصور قديمة لفلسطين بشكل رئيسي والاردن ولبنان وسوريا، وقام بتنظيم أكثر من 25 معرض فوتوغرافي \nمن نهر الاردن إلى الصحراء، أماكن وناس\nيتضمن المعرض مجموعة من الصور القديمة من ارشيف المدرسة الانجيلية في القدس، تعكس هوية الاردن من خلال الاماكن والناس
