DESCRIPTION: – فرقة جينا تشافيز في العقبة – The Gina Chavez Band Live\nيسر القسم الثقافي في السفارة الاميركية في عمان أن يقدم حفل للموسيقى اللاتينية لفرقة جينا تشافيز بالاشتراك مع فرقة تراث معان يوم الجمعة الموافق ٤/۱١/٢٠۱٦ الساعة الخامسة مساء\nعلى مدرج ساحة الثورة-العقبة \nالدعوة عامة\nيرجى الحضور قبل الموعد بنصف ساعة \nThe American Embassy in Jordan cordially invites you to The Gina Chavez Band Live in concert Featuring Ma’an Heritage Group\non Friday\, November 4\, 2016\n5:00 p.m. At Revolution Yard – Aqaba \nFree Admissio\nPlease arrive by 4:30 p.m. \nجينا تشافيز مغنية وكاتبة أغان فولوكلورية أمريكية تغني باللغتين الإنجليزية والإسبانية تمزج بين التراث الموسيقي للأمركيتين الشمالية والجنوبية بعمق ورقي. وتتألف آخر إصداراتها المستقلة ( Up.Rooted) من مجموعة شغوفة من الإغاني باللغتين تخلط مابين (cumbia\, bossa nova\, vintage pop\, reggaeton\, and folk) مع الفولكلور الممزوج بالمهارات الصوتية الديناميكية والتعليقات الإجتماعية الحادة.\nحصلت من خلال أغنيتها (Siete-D) على الجائزة الكبرى في مسابقة جون لينين لكتابة الأغاني في العام 2014 وهي خليط من موسيقى الروك والكومبيا والراب تعبر عن مسرات ومخاطر السلفادور التي كانت تشاهدها من نافذة الحافلة رقم 7 التي كانت تستقلها أثناء عملها كمتطوعة هناك في العام 2010.\nومع فرقتها المكونة من ستة عازفين، استطاعت تشافيز أن تصنع لها مكانا لافتا في مدينة أوستن التي تسمى عاصمة الموسيقى الحية حيث حظيت بجائزة أوستن للموسيقى ثماني مرات. ففي العام 2015 حصدت جينا وفرقتها معظم الجوائز الموسيقية المهمة ومنها موسيقي العام، البوم العام عن ألبوم (Up.Rooted)، أغنية العام عن أغنية (Siete-D) ، أفضل فرقة للموسيقى اللاتينية و جائزة إسميه بيريرا لاستخدام الموسيقى في التعليم والنشاط المجتمعي. وفي العام 2013 قدمت الفرقة عرضا أمام نجم الروك اللاتيني (Juanes) كإحدى تسعة فرق تم اختيارها لتمثل كل أمريكا في مسابقة (Dewaristas). \nGina Chavez is a bilingual Latin-folk singer/songwriter who blends the sounds of the Americas with tension and grace. Her latest independent release\, Up.Rooted\, is a passionate collection of bilingual songs traversing cumbia\, bossa nova\, vintage pop\, reggaeton\, and folk combined with dynamic vocals and sharp social commentary \nShe is the 2014 John Lennon Songwriting Contest (JLSC) Grand Prize Winner for her song “Siete-D\,” a rock-cumbia-rap mix that explores the delights and dangers of El Salvador from a window on the 7-D\, the bus route she rode as a volunteer there in 2010 \nBacked by a six-piece band\, Chavez has claimed a prominent stake in the Live Music Capital. An eight-time Austin Music Award winner\, Chavez and her band swept the 2015 awards\, winning Musician of the Year\, Album of the Year (Up.Rooted)\, Song of the Year (“Siete-D”)\, Best Latin Band\, and the Esme Barrera Award for Music Activism and Education\, while placing in six other categories. In 2013\, they performed for Latin rockstar Juanes as one of nine bands nationwide selected for the Dewaristas contest
