DESCRIPTION:For more information\, contact aak2184@columbia.edu \nThis workshop will be held as part of the Soraya Salti Youth for Youth Series\, and aims to provide high school students with a challenging\, impactful\, and engaging experience. Participants will develop specific behaviors\, build self-confidence\, a positive mind-set\, and learn how to inspire\, influence\, and motivate others to encourage effective leadership. \nWorkshop leaders: \n1. Noor Bint Asem joined the International Development Group in 2015 as a consultant for the Middle East\, working to build a world-class regional brand synonymous with leadership development programs that achieve sustainable behavioral change. \nShe is an executive and certified coach with The Coaching Training Institute and has 5 years of experience in facilitation and programme design on self-development and youth empowerment. \nNoor has a Bachelors degree in Political Communication and completed her Master’s degree in Positive Leadership and Strategy at IE Business School. \n2. Salma K. Al Shuhail is currently the Senior Followup Coordinator at The Office of the Chief of The Royal Hashemite Court of Jordan. Salma first joined the court in 2000 and has since worked to promote investment in Jordan’s emerging sectors to East Asian countries at the Economic and Development Department. \nIn addition to Salma’s work at the Royal Court\, she has been assisting in youth leadership and empowerment programs. \nSalma obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Political Science and Economics with a minor in Political Philosophy. She earned her masters degree in Conflict Resolution from the Jordan Diplomatic Institute. \nThe Soraya Salti Youth for Youth Series is inspired by the legacy of the late Soraya Salti\, former President and CEO for Middle East and North Africa at INJAZ Al-Arab\, a non-profit organization that supports youth education and training in the Arab world. With the support of Mr. Waleed AlBanawi\, Founder and Chairman at JISR Venture Partners\, the series aims to honor the incredible work and achievements of Soraya Salti in the field of youth education and entrepreneurship.
