DESCRIPTION:الأحجار – محمد العامري @ جاليري دار المشرق\nStones – Mohammad Al Ameri @ Orient gallery\nApril 4 – April 17\, 2017\nفي سلسلة ” أحجار”، يقدّم الفنّان محمد العامري تأمّلاته في العلاقة ما بين الإنسان والطبيعة من حوله، وما مرّت به من تحوّلات. فمِن خلال هذه المجموعة من اللوحات والرسوم، يبحث العامري في الطيف المتنوّع الذي خلقته الجاذبية في الكتل الموجودة في الطبيعة، مقارِناً ما تضاءلت كثافته بذاك الذي صمد في وجه محاولات الزمن لتغييره. فعلاقة البشر بالحجر، سواء كانت في المقالع لاستخراجه وبناء المنشآت، أو صقل الكريم منه لصنع الحليّ، أو في السعي لاكتشاف القمر وإدراك الفلك، كانت حجراً أسّس تاريخ البشر، تارةً يعلو هرماً، وتارةً أخرى يُشِعّ بريقاً في مناجم الألماس. لهذه العلاقة بين الإنسان وتلك المواد الصلبة التي أبت أن تتغير دون تدخلٍ منّا رغم مرور الزمن، دورٌ كبيرٌ في إعطائنا لمحاتٍ عن مراحل تطوّر البشرية. باستخدام ضربات ريشةٍ شفّافةٍ على خلفياتٍ ذات أساسٍ مائيٍّ، يؤكّد العامري على ديناميكية التفاعل بين ما هو عابرٌ وما هو ثابتٌ في الطبيعة، بين تقلّب الحياة ونزعتها البدائية إلى الثبات، ذلك التفاعل الموجود في مركز الطبيعة وعلاقة الإنسان به\nIn the “Ahjar” series\, artist Mohammad Al Ameri presents his reflections on the relationship between man and the natural world around him\, as well as their transformations. Through this collection of drawings and paintings\, Al Ameri studies the diverse spectrum created by gravity in these natural masses\, comparing those with decreased density to those that have stood unchanged in the face of time’s attempts to inflict change on them. Whether excavated from a quarry to use for construction\, polished and made into jewelry\, or the quest to explore the moon and the universe beyond it\, the bond between human beings and stones was founded in man’s history\, rising as a pyramid at one point and glimmering in a diamond mine at another. This relationship between man and these concrete materials has refused to change without our interference\, and has played an important role in allowing us glimpses of humanity’s development. Using transparent brushstrokes on water-based backgrounds\, Al Ameri confirms the dynamic interaction between what is fleeting and what endures in nature\, between life’s changes and its primitive inclination to be stable; the interaction found in the center of nature and man’s bond to it.\n
