DESCRIPTION:عرض وحوار عن الطوباوية في الفن، الحياة، التعايش والأمل في الحاضر\nتقدم صانعة الأفلام والفنانة والناشطة أندريا لوكاس زيميرمان أعمالها الصورية والكتابية والتركيبية التم تعمل عليها منذ 15 عام في لندن واسطنبول والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. بعدها يقدم ويستكشف الكاتب والمنتج والقيّم غاريت إيفانز حس المكان في أعماله التي تتضمن المهرجانات (Utopia\, 2016) والمشاريع المكلفة في الفن العام (The Re-Enchantment) والأفلام (Patience After Sebald) وغيرها.\nيعرض المشاركات والمشاركين في جلسات الربيع بيان الطوباوية التي عملوا عليه مع غاريت وأندريا خلال ورشة عملهم ضمن برنامج جلسات الربيع هذا العام.\nالانتباه هو الشكل الأندر والأنقى للكرم – سيمون ويل\nA public presentation about Utopia in art and life\, co-existence and hope in the present.\nIn an illustrated shared exploration\, artist\, film-maker and cultural activist Andrea Luka Zimmerman will present her moving image\, text and installation works made over 15 years in London\, Istanbul and the United States. Writer\, producer and curator Gareth Evans will explore the sense of place in his work\, including festivals (Utopia 2016)\, Public Art Commissioning (The Re-Enchantment) and Film (Patience After Sebald)\, among others.\nSpring Sessions participants will present their Utopia Manifesto that they have developed together with Gareth and Andrea during the intensive participatory workshop.\nAttention is the rarest and purest form of generosity. – Simone Weil\n—\nغاريت إيفانز كاتب وقيّم ومنتج يعيش في لندن، ومبرمج الأفلام في غاليري Whitechapel. وضع غاريت رؤية وساهم في تقييم استكشاف للأفكار الطوباويّة على مدار العام 2016 في Somerset House London في الذكرى الـ500 على نشر نص توماس مور “Utopia”. كما وضع رؤية وقيّم فعاليّات “John Berger: Here is Where We Meet العام 2005، وساهم في تقييم All Power to the Imagination! 1968 and its Legacies العام 2008. يقوم غاريت بتقديم فعاليات في المؤسسات المحليّة والعالميّة. وبين الأعوام 2002 – 2009، كان غاريت محرر مجلة Vertigo، بينما يحرّر الآن مجلة Artesian، ويساعد في تحرير Go Together Press وHouse Sparrow Press.\nنشأت أندريا لوكا زيمرمان في مجمّع سكني ضخم في ميونيخ، وتركت المدرسة في عمر 16. وبعد انتقالها إلى لندن العام 1991، حصلت على شهادة الدكتوراه من Central St. Martins (حيث تدرّس الآن). حصلت أندريا على جائزة Artangel عن فيلمها الروائي التعاوني “Cycle” (2017) مع أدريان جاكسون. يتتبّع فيلمها الوثائقي “Estate\, a Revive” (2015) قصّة تمرير Haggerston Estate في شرق لندن، ووعود السكن الاجتماعي الطوباويّة التي حملتها يوماً. كما أخرجت فيلماً فنيّاً بعنوان “Taskafa\, Stories of the Street” (2013) والذي يروي قصص المقاومة والتعايش عبر حيوات كلاب شوارع إسطنبول برواية جون بيرجر. وتم تكليفها بإخراج عدّة أفلام قصيرة، منها/ “More utopias Now” لمصلحة Random Acts في Channel 4 (2016). تعد أندريا، الفنانة والناشطة الثقافيّة وصانعة الأفلام، أول مخرجة تصل إلى القائمة القصيرة لجائزتي Grierson و Jarman. \nGareth Evans is a London-based writer\, curator\, producer and Whitechapel Gallery’s film curator. He conceived and co-curated a year-long exploration of utopian ideas throughout 2016 at Somerset House London to mark 500 years since Thomas More’s original text was first published. He conceived and curated John Berger: Here Is Where We Meet in 2005 and co-curated All Power to the Imagination! 1968 and Its Legacies in 2008. He regularly hosts events at institutions nationally and internationally. He edited the international moving image magazine Vertigo from 2002 – 2009\, and now edits Artesian and co-edits for Go Together Press and House Sparrow Press.\nAndrea Luka Zimmerman grew up on a large council estate in Munich and left school at 16. After moving to London in 1991\, she studied at Central St. Martins (where she now teaches) for her PhD. She won the Artangel Open Award for her collaborative feature drama Cycle (2017) with Adrian Jackson. Her feature documentary Estate\, a Reverie (2015)\, tracks the passing of the Haggerston Estate in East London and the utopian promise of social housing it once offered. Her artists’ film Taskafa\, Stories of the Street (2013) is about resistance and co-existence told through the lives of the street dogs of Istanbul and is voiced by John Berger. She has made several commissioned short films\, including More Utopias Now for Channel 4’s Random Acts (2016). Artist\, cultural activist and filmmaker\, Andrea is the first director to be shortlisted for both the Grierson and Jarman Awards
