DESCRIPTION:In celebration of International Women’s Day\, Safi Crafts will host a FREE workshop. It places an opportunity for artists\, fashion designers and general public to discover how Safi Craft’s products are made. Safi Crafts is the handicraft brand of the Ghor el Safi Woman’s Association which produces handmade textiles using natural dyes such pomegranate\, tea\, eucalyptus and Indigo\, an ancient natural dyes that was traditionally cultivated in the Jordan Valley. The participants will be trained on how to dye their own scarf and get to know this initiative. The project “Empowering Rural Women and Increasing Resilience in the Jordan Valley” is supported by UNESCO and funded by the Drosos Foundation.
