DESCRIPTION:Lets Hike Umm Qais!\nJoin The Culture Caravan’s first ever Adventure Experience in Jordan! \n\nThe story of how it all began \nThe Culture Caravan is an adventure community recently started by Ibrahim Sery Fathelbab. Ibrahim discovered his love for adventure in March 2013 when he solo traveled to Siwa Oasis. Since then he has traveled much through Egypt and abroad\, including cycling in a group from Cairo to Aswan\, traveling alone with a bedouin guide by camel for seven days through the south of sinai\, solo cycling in Turkey\, group hiking the south of sinai for five days and just last year finished solo traveling the Jordan Trail on horse back. While he traveled the Jordan Trail\, he adopted his beloved dog Sabali along the way. Ibrahim’s dream is to share his love for adventure and experiencing new cultures with the world one person at a time. This time and with much excitement\, THE CULTURE CARAVAN will be organising its first ever adventure experience in Jordan and would love for you to be a part of it. #jointhecaravan \nWho Is This Trip For: \nThis trip is for anyone interested in an amazing adventure experience\, who’s interested in getting outdoors\, learning about new places and meeting new people. This adventure experience is for those people who want to get out of their comfort zone and experience life differently. An amazing adventure for photographers\, archaeologists\, campers\, backpackers\, hikers\, students\, anyone who enjoys meditation and anyone who enjoys getting out into nature! \nOur Hiking Adventure Experience will last for two days and one night. We will be heading back home the evening of the second day.\n____________________________________ \nAbout our Destination: UMM QAIS \nWe will be Caravanning to the north of Jordan in Umm Qais! Located in the hills of the Jordan valley\, Umm Qais is a beautiful destination with rich history and traditions. Fast becoming a touristic hotspot for backpackers and hikers for its spectacular views of northern Jordan\, Palestine and Syria. In ancient times\, umm qais or Gadara as it was known\, was strategically situated between key trading routes between the east and west. Umm Qais’s magic and charm still lingers on today and many of its ancient ruins tell the story of its past. An amazing place to start our adventure experience! Lets go Hiking in History! \n____________________________________ \nItinerary \n\nDAY 1: Hiking the Almond Trail \nArrive in Umm Qais in the morning and start our tour of the ruins of ancient Gadara\nAfter our tour\, we will begin our 14km hike on the almond trail\nDuring the hike\, we will stop to enjoy lunch with a scenic view of the nature all around us\nAfter lunch\, continue our hike to our campsite overlooking the he Sea of Galilee\, also known as Lake Tiberias\nEnjoy dinner at our campsite all together after a full day of adventure\nChillout by the campfire \n\nDAY 2: Lets cool off in a Natural Hot Spring \nEarly morning breakfast at our campsite overlooking The Sea of Galilee\nPack up our belongings and get ready for our 14 km hike to the Himma Hot Spring\nStop in the afternoon to have lunch\nContinue on our hike after lunch\nReach The Himma Hot Spring and enjoy a beautiful dinner\nAfter dinner\, we will be getting onto our bus to leave by 7:30 and reach Amman around 9pm \n____________________________________ \nMeals:\nOn the caravan\, we will be sharing delicious fresh meals together. The yummy organic meals provided include breakfast\, lunch and dinner for two days of our trip.\nOur dinner on the second night will be super special\, since we will be visiting and enjoying a mouth watering meal from North of Jordan with the help of local hands\, welcomed into their home and on their table. Prepare yourself for an unforgettable experience 🙂 \n____________________________________ \nHighlights of this Experience \nGuided tour of ruins of the old city of Gadara at Umm Qais\nHiking the Almond Trail\nAL Himma hot spring\nThe well known local tour guide with us on our hike\, Ahmed Al Omari\nCamping overlooking The Sea of Galilee\nBeautiful nature views\nBeautiful home cooked dinner meal prepared by a local and served at their home in Umm Qais. The meal will consist of typical dishes from the region.\nOrganic meals\nViews of Syria\, Jordan and Palestine \nThis Experience Includes \nTents and sleeping bags\nBreakfast\, lunch and dinner for the two days of the trip\nAll transportation to and from Amman – Umm Qais\nEverything stated in the Itinerary\nWater for the whole trip \nThis Experience Excludes \nPersonal Pocket Money\nAny extra food\, snacks and or beverages\nTips \n____________________________________ \nImportant Notice! \nBe aware that it will still be summertime weather and temperatures will average 31/32 degrees celsius for the days of our adventure. Also\, remember we will be camping in the outdoors and the temperature during the night will average 17/15 degrees celsius.
