DESCRIPTION:Jordanian short documentaries @ Rainbow Theater\nأفلام وثائقية قصيرة@ مسرح الرينبو\nOn Thursday 30 March\, 2017 – 7:00 PM\nيوم الخميس 30 آذار 2017 – الساعة السابعة مساءً \n\nThis Movie is Screened as part of the “Sheffield Film Days in Amman” 2017\n\n\nعرض مجموعة من الأفلام الوثائقية القصيرة التي أنتجت في ورشة عمل “قصص الأردن” في السلط عام 2016\nScreening of a collection of Jordanian short documentaries produced at “Jordan Stories” Workshop in Salt in 2016. \nرحلة بصائر – Basaer Journey\nFollowed by a discussion with the director Mahmoud Hammash\nيتبع العرض نقاش مع المخرج محمود همّاش\nمحمود همّاش، 60 دقيقة، وثائقي، بالعربية مع ترجمة إلى الإنجليزية، الأردن، 2016\nيأخذ الفيلم المشاهدين في رحلة من الأمل والتحدي رفقة مجد وزملائه من الكفيفين لدى تأسيسهم “فريق بصائر”، وهو أول فريق من نوعه في العالم في علم الروبوتيك والإلكترونيات. “لقد كانت البداية مظلمة في عالم موحش” حسب ما يصفه مجد، فلم يملك “فريق بصائر” أي معرفة بالروبوتات أو أي دعم بسبب قلة الموارد في مدرستهم كما هو الحال في المدارس الحكومية في الأردن. ولكن لم يمنعهم ذلك من الوصول الى المسابقة الوطنية للروبوت والفوز بالمركز الأول على مستوى البحث العلمي. وتابعوا بالمشاركة اذ تأهلوا كفريق نهائي يمثل الأردن في مسابقات إنتل العالمية في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. رحلة لم تكن سهلة أبداً وخصوصا مع إصابة مجد المتكررة بنوبات الصرع وصعوبة منحهم تأشيرة السفر والمشاركة في المسابقات النهائية. فهل سيتمكن مجد وفريقه من المشاركة كأول فريق كفيف في العالم؟\nعرض الفيلم في لوس انجيلوس سينفيست ومهرجان المساواة الدولي للسينما والمهرجان الدولي العاشر للطفولة السينمائي ومهرجان “نحن نهتم” للأفلام والمهرجان الدولي للأفلام والفنون للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة ومهرجان نيت وورلد السينمائي الدولي ومهرجان سينيبلاي السينمائي\nMahmoud Hammash\, 60 min\, Documentary\, Arabic with English subtitles\, Jordan\, 2016\nThe documentary takes us on a journey of hope and challenge with Majed and his fellow team members – who are blind – as they establish “Basaer Group”\, the world’s first robotics and electronics team for unsighted students.\n“We started in the dark in a dismal world” as Majed describes it. The team had no knowledge in robots and no support due to the lack of resources at their school as in other public schools in Jordan. However\, it didn’t stop them from reaching the national competition for robots and winning the first place for scientific research. They continued by qualifying as a finalist team representing Jordan at the INTEL Global Competitions in the United States.\nA journey that wasn’t easy at all especially with Majed’s frequent epileptic seizures and the difficulties in getting visas to travel. Will Majed and his colleagues be able to participate as the first team in the world for the blind?\nThe film has been screened at Los Angeles Cinefest\, Equality international Film Festival\, the 10th International Children Film Festival\, We Care Film Festival\, International Film & Art Festival for People with Disabilities\, FREE NET WORLD Film Festival and Cineplay Film Festival
