DESCRIPTION:A l’occasion de la 6ème édition de مهرجان الصورة – عمان Image Festival – Amman\, vernissage de l’exposition de seize photographies anciennes du fonds de l’ École Biblique et Archéologique Française de Jérusalem le 9 avril à 19h à l’Institut français de Jordanie.\nFondée en 1890 comme institution de recherche sur la Bible et son environnement historique\, géographique\, physique et archéologique dans l’ancienne Palestine ottomane\, l’École biblique de Jérusalem s’est tout de suite constituée un fonds photographique devenu précieux au fil des années.\nLe choix des 16 tirages a pour but d’illustrer ce que fut ce magnifique fleuve\, comme on n’hésitait pas à le nommer autrefois. Certes\, en 2017\, les pompages intensifs en amont du Jourdain et de ses affluents (surtout le Yarmouk) ont tellement réduit son débit qu’on a peine à imaginer ce qu’il fut…\nLes photographies noir & blanc exposées sont surtout de la période dite britannique\, les années vingt. Les plus anciennes photographies sont d’époque ottomane\, autour de 1900. La photographie en couleur provient d’une diapositive Kodachrome de 1954.\nEn présence de Jean-Michel de Tarragon. \nكجزء من النسخة السادسة من مهرجان الصورة – عمان، سيم افتتاح معرض ستة عشر صورة قديمة من مدرسة École Biblique et Archéologique Française\n09/ 04 الساعة 07:00 مساءً.\nتأسست مدرسة الكتاب المقدس في القدس عام 1880 كمؤسسة بحثية عن الكتاب المقدس ومحيطها التاريخي والجغرافي والأثري في فلسطين العثمانية القديمة، وقد تم على الفور إنشاء صندوق للصور الفوتوغرافية، والذي أصبح ثمينا في السنوات اللاحقة.\nويهدف اختيار هذه المطبوعات الستة عشر إلى توضيح ذلك النهر الرائع، حيث لم نتردد في ذكر اسمه مرة واحدة. ومن المسلمات أنه في عام 2017 أدى الإفراط في ضخ نهر\nالأردن وروافده (وتحديدا نهر اليرموك) إلى خفض تدفقه بالشكل الذي لا نستطيع أن نتصور ما كان عليه.\nالصور المعروضة بالأسود والأبيض هي في معظمها من الفترة البريطانية، أي في عام 1920. أقدم الصور تأتي من الفترة العثمانية، حوالي عام 1900. الصورة الملونة هي ذاتها المستخرجة من 1954 صورة كوداكروم.\nفي حضور جان ميشال دي تاراجون. \nAs part of the 6th edition of مهرجان الصورة – عمان Image Festival – Amman\, opening exhibition of sixteen ancient photographs from École Biblique et Archéologique Française of Jerusalem on April 9th à 7pm.\nFounded in 1880 as research institution on Bible and its historical\, geographical and archaeological surroundings in the old Ottoman Palestine\, the Biblical School of Jerusalem immediately created a photographic fund\, which became precious other the years.\nThe choice of these sixteen printings aims to illustrate that magnificent river\, as we did not hesitate to name it once. Admittedly\, in 2017 the over-pumping up the Jordan river and its tributaries (specifically the Yarmuk’s one) reduced so much its flow that we barely can imagine what it has been.\nThe black and white exhibited photographs are mostly from the Britannic period\, that is to say the 1920’s. The oldest photographs are coming from the Ottoman period\, around 1900. The coloured photograph is\, on its own\, extracted from a 1954 Kodachrome photograph.\nIn presence of Jean-Michel de Tarragon.
