DESCRIPTION:Coming soon\, The Image Festival Amman 8th edition\, with photographs from all over the world.\nقريباً، مهرجان الصورة عمان بنسخته الثامنة، بمشاركة مصورين من كافة أنحاء العالم. \nThe Image Festival Amman\nSince 2011 \nOrganized by Darat Al Tasweer and in partnership with many local and international institutes The Image Festival Amman aims to gather more professionals together\, attract a wider audience and create opportunities for sustainable cultural exchanges. \n\nThe Festival – single major event dedicated to photography in the region – has notably programmed in the past\, internationally renowned photographers from world renowned Magnum Photo Agency with French photographers such as Josef Koudelka and Jean Gaumy\, Ed Kashi\, Tomas Vanhoutryve from VII Photos amongst many other talented photographers from all over the world. \nAltogether\, more than 200 photographers from 25 countries presented their art works in the framework of the Festival. The latter attracts a wider audience every year\, since its inception\, and it involves both professional and amateur photographers. The event benefits from strong media coverage (TV\, radio and press) and is now an expected cultural event in the capital. It is as well the longest cultural event to happen in Amman and the region that associates a great number of partners and artists.\nAfter the first edition in 2011\, a theme\, that guidelines the Festival\, is proposed: [ Re ] evolution in 2012 and Macro & Me in 2013. Together in 2014\, Future in 2016\, Identity in 2017\, Home in 2018\, and Wandering will be the theme for the 8th edition of the Festival 2019.\nIn addition to the many exhibitions related to the theme\, the Festival offers workshops/meetings with photographers guests\, portfolio reading by professionals\, residential creations\, publications as well our photography competition “Jamal Nasrallah Photography Award” open in two categories for professionals Amateur. \nLinda Al Khoury\nCurator\nBorn in 1979\, In Amman – Jordan\, Linda was fascinated by photography as a child and began taking pictures at the age of 13 when she was given her first 110mm compact camera. In 1998 Linda took her first course in black and white photography followed by special studies in 2002 at The Saint Spirit University / Keslik\, in Lebanon. in 2007\, with her accumulated experience\, linda establish Darat Al Tasweer. Linda has been teaching photography since 2005\, she works as a professional photographer specialized in architecture. She dedicates time for her passion to the art of documentary photography and she is working on her long term project “Stories from the Mountains of Amman”. The first phase along with other projects “Stories from Jabal Al Lweibdeh” were exhibited in different places around the world. In 2013 Linda established Fann Wa Chai ‘Art Gallery & Tea Bar’ a cultural space in Amman that aims at engaging the public with arts and culture.\nDarat Al Tasweer Darat Al Tasweer is a specialized center dedicated to photography\, we provide photography courses\, workshops\, host exhibitions\, competitions and trips engaging all photography lovers. Darat Al Tasweer aims to inspire and introduce the art and craft of photography and its new technologies to both amateurs and professional photographers in Jordan. Darat Al Tasweer was established in 2007 at the heart of Jabal Al Lweibdeh\, one of the oldest areas in Amman. It developed to become a creative space dedicated to the Art of Photography in Jordan\, offereing various learning and participation opportunities at international exhibitions and competitions. \n\nمهرجان الصورة عمان\nمنذ 2011\nبتنظيم من دارة التصوير وبالشراكة مع عدة مؤسسات محلية وعالمية. مهرجان الصورة عمان يهدف لجمع أفضل الخبرات في المجال، وعرضها لخلق تبادل الثقافي المستدام.\nيعد المهرجان حدثاً مهماً في عالم التصوير في المنطقة، وقد شارك فيه عدد من المصورين العالميين من وكالة ماغنوم للتصوير مثل كل من المصورين الفرنسيين جوزيف كودلكا، جا نجومي، إد كاشي، وتوماس فانهوتريف، وغيرهم الكثير من كافة أنحاء العالم.\nشارك في المهرجان على مر السنين أكثر من 200 مصور من 25 دولة، محترفين وهواة، ويزداد هذا العدد في كل عام. يحصل المهرجان على تغطية إعلامية كبيرة من قنوات تلفاز، محطات راديو، وصحافة، حيث أصبح حدثاً منتظراً في العاصمة عمان كل عام، كون المهرجان حدث مهم مخصص لفن الصورة في المنطقة وأحد أطول المهرجانات في عمان المتضمنة لعدد كبير من الشركاء والفنانين.\nمن بعد النسخة الأولى للمهرجان في عام 2011، أصبح هنالك موضوع معين يتبعه المهرجان في كل عام مثل: ثورة في 2012، أنا والدقة في 2013، معاً في 2014، المستقبل في 2016، هوية في 2017، مسكن في 2018، ولهذا العام سيكون الموضوع هو ترحال.\nبالإضافة للعديد من المعارض المتعلقة بموضوع المهرجان، هنالك العديد من ورشات العمل، الإجتماعات والمحاضرات والندوات التي يقوم بإعطائها مصورين محترفين، ومسابقة الصورة السنوية ” جائزة جمال نصرالله للصورة” التي تشمل قسم للهواة وقسم للمحترفين. \nليندا الخوري \nمنظمة المهرجان \nمن مواليد ١٩٧٩ عمان الأردن، التصوير الفوتوغرافي شغف رافق ليندا منذ الصغر، بدأت الهواية بالمراقبة لتصبح الكاميرا منذ عمر ١٣ وسيلة لتسجيل ما يدور من حولها وما يتشكل في خيالها. طورت ليندا الهواية بالدراسة منذ عام ١٩٩٨ وأتمت بعدها في عام ٢٠٠٢ دراسات متخصصة في التصوير في جامعة الروح القدس الكاسليك في لبنان. وبعد الخبرة لسنوات عدة في جميع مجالات التصوير التجاري والتدريب، أسست ليندا دارة التصوير عام ٢٠٠٧ تدرب ليندا التصوير الفوتوغرافي منذ عام ٢٠٠٥، تعمل كمصورة محترفة متخصصة في التصوير المعماري والداخلي، وتخصص من الوقت لشغفها في التصوير الفني، تعمل على إتمام مشروعها حكايا من جبال عمان، الذي بدأ بمشروع حكايا من جبل اللويبدة والذي عرض في أكثر من مكان في العالم خلال السنوات الماضية، كما تعمل على مجموعة من المشاريع الفنية منها أعمال طبيعة وتوثيقية كما أسست ليندا مساحة فن وشاي الثقافيه عام ٢٠١٣ بهدف دمج الثقافة والفنون بالعامة، حيث يجذب المكان رواد من المهتمين بالثقافة ويتم تنظيم فعاليات متعددة من معارض وأمسيات ثقافية مدموجة بطبيعة المكان الهادئ. \nدارة التصوير\nمركز متخصص بفن التصوير الفوتوغرافي هدف لدمج تقنيات التصوير القديمة والحديثة وإدراج مفهوم التصوير كفن بصري، من خلال عقد دورات تدريبية متخصصة في مجال وإقامة فعاليات مختلفة من معارض ومسابقات وورشات عمل وبرامج تبادل ثقافي.\nتأسست دارة التصوير عام 2007 في أحضان جبل اللويبدة، أحد أقدم جبال عمان. حيث جذبت الدارة محبي وهواة التصوير. ومع مرور الوقت أصبحت المساحة ابداعية التي من خلالها ترقى هذا الفن في الأردن، وفتح آفاق جديدة للمهتمين بالمشاركة في معارض ومسابقات عالمية.
