DESCRIPTION:Global Entrepreneurship Course in Amman for High School Students @ Columbia Global Center\, Amman\nApril 9 – April 13\, 2017\nPlease visit this link for registration information: http://globalcenters.columbia.edu/content/global-entrepreneurship-course-amman-high-school-students\nABOUT THE PROGRAM\nColumbia Business School’s Venture for Creation program provides students with an intensive\, “hands-on” course focusing on the creation\, evaluation\, development\, and launch readiness of a new business or social venture. \nThe ­five-day course\, which will be held at the Columbia Global Centers | Amman\, allows students to explore the venture planning process in an innovative modular format\, and re­ne their venture’s hypothesized business model based on instructor\, peer\, and local investor feedback. Students will learn key skills such as business model development\, customer discovery\, and market analysis and will hone critical professional skills including creative problem solving\, communication and negotiation\, project management\, ­nancial analysis\, and collaborative leadership.\nThis program has been taught in cities such as Dubai\, Jakarta\, Singapore\, Tokyo\, New Delhi and Beijing by faculty members with vast experience in entrepreneurship. It has had over 2\,000 graduates\, with many going on to attend Ivy League colleges in the U.S. and elsewhere.\nThe course will take place from April 9-13\, 2017\, and is intended for students (grades 10-12) with an interest in business and social enterprise.\nFACULTY LEADERS\nDr. Jack McGourty\, Director of Community and Global Entrepreneurship at the Columbia Business School and a faculty member teaching graduate courses in entrepreneurship\, innovation\, and technology management\nManoj Pooleery\, Director\, Columbia Business School Venture for All and Founder & CEO of M-Phi Innovators\nFEES\nTotal cost for the ­ve-day course is 1\,155 JOD. The deadline for registration and payment is March 1\, 2017. Fees include tuition\, instruction materials\, snacks\, and lunches. Participants that complete the program successfully receive a Venture for All® Program Certi­cate from Columbia Business School.
