DESCRIPTION:Film Screening: We Are Out (Hna Berra) @ Rainbow Theater\n Tuesday\, 22/11/2016 – 7:30pm\n Followed by a discussion with the director Bahia Bencheikh El- Fegoun\n احنا برا\n يوم الثلاثاء 22 تشرين الثاني 2016 – الساعة السابعة والنصف مساءً\n يتبع العرض نقاش مع المخرجة بهية ابن الشيخ لفقون \nبهية ابن الشيخ لفقون، 52 دقيقة، وثائقي، بالعربية والفرنسية مع ترجمة إلى الانجليزية، الجزائر، 2015\nيناقش الفيلم قضية الحجاب من خلال شهادات خمس شابات ونساء ارتدين الحجاب ليسمح لهن باستكمال تعليمهن في الجامعة، إذ أن الحجاب يُعتبر ستراً للبنات وجواز مرور لهن فى الشارع، وعدم ارتدائه قد يمثل دعوة للتحرش. تتحدث كل منهن في الفيلم عن الضغوط التي تعرضت لها وعن نظرتها لموضوع اللبس وتأثيره المجتمعي. حاز الفيلم بتنويه خاص من لجنة تحكيم مهرجان الفيلم الملتزم في الجزائر وجائزة التحكيم الخاصة في الأيام السينمائية الجزائرية. كما عُرض في العديد من المهرجانات الدولية منها: مهرجان الألفية للأفلام الوثائقية واللقاءات السينمائية في بجاية ومهرجان “جان روش” الاثنوغرافي السينمائي ومهرجان أميان السينمائي الدولي ومهرجان أضواء أفريقيا في بيزانسون (فرنسا)\nBahia Bencheikh El- Fegoun\, 52 min\, Documentary\, Arabic & French with English subtitles\, Algeria\, 2015\nThe film discusses the veil (hijab) case through the testimonies of five ladies\, who decided to wear the hijab in order to be able to complete their university education. The hijab is often perceived as a protection for the girls\, as its absence might provoke men’s harassment. Each of the ladies in the film explains the pressures exerted on her and her view on the hijab and its societal impact. The film has won the Jury Special Mention at the Festival du Film Engagé in Algiers and the Jury Special Prize at the Cinema Days in Algiers. It has participated in several film festivals\, including: The International Documentary Film Festival Millennium\, Les Rencontres Cinématographiques of Bejaia\, Ethnographic Film Festival – Jean Rouch\, Amiens International Film Festival and Africa’s Lights Film Festival of Besançon (France)
