DESCRIPTION:The Embassy of Switzerland in Jordan proudly presents the internationally acclaimed alphorn player Eliana Burki in a series of performances on the 11th and 12th of May in Amman. \nThe events are organized in collaboration with ABB\, Omnitrade and Nestle\, managed by OrangeRed \nProgram:\n~ Friday\, May 11th – 5:00 PM at Aziz Maraqa At The Boulevard\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/382821378794478/\n——-\n~ Saturday\, May 12th – 7:00 PM at The Boulevard – Public Concert \nEliana Burki\, born in 1983 in Switzerland\, is among the internationally most acclaimed and innovative alphorn player\, introducing this traditional Swiss instruments into jazz and folk. She has had concerts far beyond the borders of Europe\, including the United States\, South America and the Middle and Far East – and become the most sought-after ambassador of this Swiss national instrument. She has opened up a new repertoire for the alphorn with her band “The Alpinists”\, and also as a soloist with the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra and the Munich Radio Orchestra.
