DESCRIPTION:Barbed Wire @ Darat al Funun\nأسلاك شائكة @  دارة الفنون \nFrom Tuesday\, February 7th\, 2017 – Until April 7th\, 2017\nيطرح رائد عصفور مجموعة صور فوتوغرافية لـ”أسلاك شائكة” في بلاد عربيّة وغربيّة. بدأت فكرة هذا المشروع العام سنة 2012 في تونس، حين التقط أول صورة خلال إحدى المظاهرات عندما وضعت الشرطة حاجزاً من الأسلاك الشائكة أمام المتظاهرين لمنعهم من الوصول إلى المناطق الرئيسيّة في العاصمة. ومن بعدها بدأ بالتقاط صور الأسلاك الشائكة في مختلف البلدان التي زارها لاحقاً، ولاحظ أن الأسلاك الشائكة دائماً ما توضع في نفس الأماكن، للحماية حيناً، وللفصل أو المنع حيناً آخر، ولكنها تعكس في كل الأحيان الخوف، وتشوّه الرؤية، وتخترق جمال الأرض\n“بائسة هي الأسلاك التي تمنع التواصل واللقاء والحياة\nبائسة هي الأسلاك التي تشطر الرؤيا، وتمنع الحكايات من الاكتمال لتحيلها جماداً رماديّاً حزيناََ\nيضعها القاتل ليحمي نفسه من القتيل. يثبتها مدّعي القوة الذي يرتجف خوفاً من الضعفاء، يغرسها المحتل ليحمي نفسه من أصحاب الأرض\nعلى هذه الأسلاك نزفت أياد كبيرة وصغيرة، وتقطّعت شرايين عشاق الأرض\nأيّتها الأسلاك البائسة: أي هواءٌ يتكسّر عندما يعبرك؟ أي خيوط ظلام بارد تكبّل الأرض الجميلة؟ أي بؤس جارح لخيوط الشمس أنت؟\nرائد عصفور\nRaed Asfour presents a series of photographs of barbed wires cutting through the Arab world and beyond. The idea for this project developed in 2012 in Tunisia. He took the first photograph of barbed wire during one of the protests\, when the police set up a wire barrier to prevent the protesters from getting to the main areas of the capital. Afterwards\, he started noticing and taking photographs of barbed wire in other countries around the world\nThese wires have been mostly set up for the same purpose: placed for protection\, or segregation\, or prevention\, but they are always a result of fear. They distort one’s vision\, and cut through the beauty of the earth\nWretched are the wires that prevent connections\, encounters\, and life\nWretched are the wires that splinter vision\, cut stories short of completion\, turning them into grey and sad remains\nThe killer puts them up as protection from his murdered victim\nThe bully\, shivering with fear\, believes they can protect him from the weak\, while the occupier plants them in the ground to protect himself from the rightful owners of the land\nMany hands\, large and small\, have bled on these wires that cut many a lover’s veins\nOh wretched wires: you break the wind as it infiltrates you! You pathetic shackles of cold dark night imprisoning this beautiful\nearth; what sordid wound inflicted on the rays of the sun are you!\nRaed Asfour
