Age group: Any one can participate in the Age group race. \n2. Elite race: approval by the organazing comitee must be obtained to register in the elite race or National team athletes\, that are registered on the International triathlon union webiste \nENTRY FEES\nFor Jordanians and Jordan residents: 30JOD\nFor athletes form outside jordan: US $ 70 \nRACE INFORMATION:\nIn the first year we are just offering one distance: the sprint distance.\nThe triathlon combines a 750m Swim\, 20Km Road Cycling and 5Km Run. The Duathlon consists of a 5Km Run\, a 20Km Road Cycle and a 2.5Km Run.\nFor the triathlon only and only for age groups\, we also offer a team relay category\, for teams of 3 or 2 participants. For the triathlon relay each member must complete at least one of the sections of the race\, i.e. the first athlete will cover the swimming session\, the second the cycling\, and the third the running section \nRACES START TIMES\nRace check in: 06:00am to 08:00am\nElite Triathlon: 09:00am\nAge Group Triathlon & team Triathlon: 09:15am\nElite Duathlon: 09:45am\nAge Group Duathlon: 09:45am\nAwards ceremony: 14:00pm \nRULES:\n1. The Championship will be held under ASTC / ITU Rules and Regulations. \n2. Results and split times will be regiestered using RFID timing system. (Same system used in the Tour de france) \nJudges & Officials:\nJudges & Official will be approved by ASTC(Asian Triathlon Confederation). \nPRIZES\nFinishing a Triathlon or Duathlon is an achievement in itself\, and as a recognition of the athletes hard work Jordan Triathlon Association in cooperation with Ayla Oasis will provide a total of USD 10000 as prize money for winners in the elite races also a number of sponsored prizes will be provided to the Age group athletes. \nElite Triathlon:\n1st Place: Men US $ 1250\, Women US $ 1250\n2nd Place: Men US $ 750\, Women US $ 750\n3rd Place: Men US $ 500\, Women US $ 500 \nElite Duathlon:\n1st Place: Men US $ 1250\, Women US $ 1250\n2nd Place: Men US $ 750\, Women US $ 750\n3rd Place: Men US $ 500\, Women US $ 500 \nAge groups Triathlon:\n1st place 3 month membership in Golds gym each (Male and Female).\n2nd and 3rd place prizes will be announced soon \nAge group Duathlon;\n1st place: 3 month membership in Golds gym each (Male and Female).\n2nd and 3rd place prizes will be announced soon \nRealy triathlon:\n1st\, 1 month membership for each member of the team in Golds gym.\n2nd and 3rd place prizes will be announced soon \nAbility Requirement:\nThe expected finish times are between 1 hour for an Elite athlete and 1 1/2 to 2 hours for Age Group athletes. All competitors must sign a waiver to compete. The swim is in a huge man made pool\, with life guards present at all times. The cycle section is on closed roads inside the resort. The cycling route will be two laps\, and the elevation is mostly flat. The running is 2 laps on a smooth tarmac taking athletes to the shores of the red sea and back to the finish line.
