DESCRIPTION:Articulating Difference @ The Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts\nWednesday\, March 29 at 6 PM – 7 PM\nاعضاء وأصدقاء المتحف، ندعوكم للأنضمام إلينا في محاضرة يلقيها الفنان سوجي غارسيا والذي سيحدثنا عن ظهور وتطور فنون الأداء والتركيب والفيديو التي غالبا ما تعرف ضمن مسمى الوسائط الفنية الحديثة\nوقد تم أعتبار هذه الأشكال الجديدة من التعبير الفني في القرن الماضي كحالات من الطلائعية، والتي قام بها مجموعة من الفنانين الذين يُعتقد أنهم تحدوا الحدود المألوفة للثقافة والتجربة الجمالية. ستسعرض المحاضرة معلومات من مصادر متنوعة عن هذه الممارسات، وسوف تصف بإيجاز جانب من جوانب المفهوم العام للوسائط الفنية الحديثة. سوف نبدأ بالتصور معاً أحتمالات ليست مقتصرة فقط على التشخيص في الفن أنما سوف نذهب لتصور الشخوص والفراغات التي يحتلوها كاحتمالية في الفن\nستكون هذه المحاضرة الأولى من ثلاث محاضرات عامة في المتحف الوطني والتي تأتي ضمن فعاليات ورشة العمل “ميتا سكيب” التي تجمع الآن 14 فنانة وفنان سيعملون بشكل جماعي على إنتاج أعمال فنية لمعرض “ميتا سكيب”، والذي سيتم أفتتاحه في 13 نيسان، 2017\nMembers and friends\, you’re invited to join us on a lecture by artist Suje Garcia who will speak to us about the emergence of performance\, installation and video art which are often enclosed under the term ‘new media art’\nThese new forms of artistic expression have been viewed during the past century as avant-garde instances carried by various artists who have been thought to have pushed the limits of culture and aesthetic experience. The lecture will introduce material that has been pulled from several sources and will briefly describe part of the general discourse surrounding topics of new media art. We will begin by imagining not only representations of the figure in art but rather\, the figure and the space it occupies as\, a potential for art\nThis will be the first of three public lectures hosted at the National Gallery as part of the activities of ‘Meta-scape’ workshop\, which is now gathering 14 artists\, who will work collectively on creating artworks for ‘Meta-scape’ exhibition\, opening on April 13\, 2017
