SUMMARY:ADW - Designing On the Mannequin Workshop with Edelina Joyce
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is part of Amman Design Week Activities \nAbout the Workshop \nThe two-day workshop aims to provide an understanding of fashion design through three-dimensional experimentation. Students will learn about the principles of fashion design by experimenting with fabric directly onto the mannequin\, allowing for an instant visualization of ideas\, as they would appear on the body. Students will drape\, gather\, pleat and pin fabric to develop shapes and silhouettes\, and will then develop experimental ideas on paper to create a capsule collection of draped designs. \nAbout Edelina Joyce Issa \nEdelina Joyce Issa is an Anglo-Jordanian womenswear designer\, stylist\, instructor and consultant. During her fashion education in London\, Issa worked for brands such as George\, Hollister\, Abercrombie & Fitch\, Mother of Pearl and was recommended for a position at Victoria Beckham\, where she worked for three years. Edelina showcased three pieces at Amman Design Week 2016’s Hangar Exhibition\, which were inspired by the traditional thobe\, and the simplicity with which it creates a versatility of shape and form. Launching her eponymous label with her ready-to-wear line in May 2017\, Edelina’s work combines a modern conceptual vision\, with a minimal classic design aesthetic. Edelina also teaches fashion design and sewing at the Design Institute Amman. \nFor registration and more info please visit http://diamman.com/myportfolio/designing-on-the-mannequin-edelina-joyce/ or call us at 0797142020 \nعن الورشة\nتهدف هذه الورشة التي تقام على مدى يومين لفهم عملية تصميم الأزياء عبر التجريب ثلاثي الأبعاد. سيقوم الطلاب بتعلّم مبادئ تصميم الأزياء عبر التجريب بالأقمشة مباشرة على المانيكان، مما يسمح لتصور مباشر للأفكار كما تظهر على الجسم. سيقوم الطلاب بالثني والجمع والطي وتدبيس القماش لتطوير أشكال ومن ثم تطوير أفكار تجريبية على الورق لإنشاء مجموعة مصغرة من التصاميم. \nعن إديلينا جويس \nإديلينا جويس عيسى مصممة أزياء نسائية ومزينة ومدربة واستشارية. خلال دراستها لتصميم الأزياء في لندن، عملت عيسى مع علامات تجارية مثل ماذر اوف بيرل وجورج أبركرومبي وفيتش، وأوصي بها لشغل منصب في فيكتوريا بيكهام حيث عملت لمدة ثلاث سنوات. شاركت إيديلينا في أسبوع عمّان للتصميم 2016 بعرضها لثلاثة قطع مستوحاة من الثوب التقليدي، والبساطة التي يخلق بها طلاقة في الشكل والتكوين. أطلقت عيسى علامتها الخاصة بها RTW في أيار/مايو 2017 ، ويجمع عملها بين الرؤية المفاهيمية الحديثة وجماليات التصميم الكلاسيكي التقليلي. تعمل إيديلينا كمستشارة تصميم أزياء وتُدرّس تصميم الأزياء والخياطة في معهد التصميم في عمّان. \nللتسجيل و المزيد من المعلومات الرجاء زيارة موقعنا الالكتروني http://diamman.com/myportfolio/designing-on-the-mannequin-edelina-joyce/ او التواصل معنا على رقمنا ٠٧٩٧١٤٢٠٢٠
