DESCRIPTION:“The neuroscience of singing shows that when we sing our neurotransmitters connect in new and different ways. It fires up the right temporal lobe of our brain\, releasing endorphins that make us smarter\, healthier\, happier and more creative. When we sing with other people this effect is amplified.” \nIn This Workshop We Will be focusing on :\nHarmonic Singing\nIntroduction to Overtone Singing\nOpening the Voice\nChanting\nMeditation \nConnecting with our Human Experience\nThe Workshop will be guided using a live instrument. \nGuided by: Ramsey Kattan Awouohe Workshops\nCreator AWOUOHE WORKSHOPS\n(Alternative Ways Of Understanding Our Human Experience) \nWho is Rmasey\nRamsey Kattan graduated from the Munira School of Holistic Studies 4 year course (Barbara Brenon school of healing) He is a certified holistic therapist and energy healer.\nRamsey has also been working closely with Dr. Hafez Al Ishi. Dr Hafez has been his mentor / teacher / healer. Dr Hafez through his unique meditation techniques heals people undergoing stress – voice impediments / sickness physical -mental challenges – through voice and singing.\nDr. Hafez comes from a deep musical lineage his father has been recognized as being a world fusion musician and has played with Arabic classics such as Um Kalthum and Abdel Haleem Hafez.\nRamsey’s workshops are a manifestation of everything he chooses in life : from Sufi chanting to Qi Gong – Bio Energetics to Pranayama . One thing is for sure Workshops will include meditation/activation / breathing . Ramsey is usually guided by intuition and workshop’s are free flow. Tuning into the moment and feeling out the group energy is all what it is about.\nRamsey traveled extensively all through his life but specially the past 7 years. He discovered many beautiful places\, hiked\, and camped in raw primitive surroundings\, he interacted with many people of different cultures across the world. He attended many festivals and conferences and joined workshops that dealt with sustainability\, Permaculture \, Qi Gong \, consciousness and drumming.\nHe has been extensively researching consciousness\, cosmology\, ancient civilizations\, Mystical traditions\, Sacred Chanting and music \, transpersonal psychology and art. He is currently working with holistic therapists\, voice and meditation facilitators\, life coaches\, drama therapists\, yogis \, didgeridoo players\, musicians and various artists and has developed a program on alternative ways of understanding our human experience which he intends to pursue as his career.\nHis passion for travel took him to many unusual places one of which is SOCOTRA Island in Yemen that left a great impression on him. An experience and exhibit that was shared at the national museum of fine arts in Amman Jordan.\nRamsey is also one of the Co-creator’s of the TBA collective: A collective that has created and enhanced the growth of the alternative scene in Amman Jordan. It supports local and independent artists uniting diverse sub cultures.
