DESCRIPTION:Friends Of Jordan Festivals on the occasion of Francophone month.\nProudly Presents : \nSoprano Dima Bawab and Pianist Rania Ejeilat live in Amman\nFor a very special evening on Wednesday March 28th at Bank Al Etihad theater – Shimasani at 7:30PM\nCommemorating the centennial of death of the great French composers Claude Debussy (1862-1918) and Lili Boulanger (1893-1918). The concert includes poetry by the masters of French symbolism (Paul Verlaine\, Stephane Mallarme\, Charles Baudelaire\, Francis Jammes and others) set to music by Debussy and Boulanger. \nSupported by the French Institute and the French Embassy in Amman. \nTickets are available now at Karasi.com or at Friends Of Jordan Festivals offices in Zara Expo\nticket price : 10 JDs \nDima Bawab :\nBorn in Jordan\, Dima began her musical journey when she was just 4 years old\, studying piano and dance at the King Hussein National Conservatory in Amman.\nShe pursued her higher studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris\, from where she graduated in 2007 with distinction. Since then\, Dima has performed all over the world in a variety of répertoires. In 2010 she made her début at the Opéra-Comique in Paris in the rôle of Yniold in Pelléas et Mélisande\, conducted by Sir John Eliot Gardiner and directed by Stéphane Braunschweig.\nDima just won the ARMEL Opera Competition in Budapest last June 2017. \nRania Ejeilat:\nbegan her piano and music theory training in Amman at the age of 8 with Vera Podchasova Otaibi and obtained her bachelor’s degree in music with honors from the National Music Conservatory in Amman\, studying with Mohammed Uthman Sidiq. As a recipient of the Fulbright scholarship\, she completed her masters degree in piano performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in the USA in 2014\, studying with Michael Chertock. Rania has participated in piano and chamber music festivals in the US and Europe\, such as the Savonlinna Music Academy in Finland\, the Micul Paris festival in Bucharest\, Romania\, and the Apple Hill festival for chamber music in New Hampshire. She currently teaches at the National Music Conservatory in Amman.
