Please email info@seenaryo.org to reserve your place. \nPerformers: Seba Nasser Hasan\, Eyad AlMhemed\, Khadiga Adam Hassan Abker\, Akka Hamdan\, Batool Othman\, Raghad Rasras\, Mohamed Shareef (Solo)\, Saleem Asfour\, Abdul Hadi Alrakeb\, Waseem Albado\, Sara Ghanma\, Abdallah Smaik and Mobarak Ibrahim. \nCollaborating Artists: Husam Abed\, Joyce Raie and Mohammed Idreesi \nArt work: Raghad Rasras\n—————————————————————\nعلى مدار الأسابيع الثمانية المنقضية، تعاون 13 شابًا لإنتاج عرض يستجيب لمعرض “النجوم أقرب والغيوم رباب تحت الأشجار الذهبية”. من خلال الاشتغال على أعمال جان جينيه بما فيها “أسير عاشق” و”الشرفة”، بدأت المجموعة العمل بالاستعانة بالتصورات والنقاشات والحركة لاختيار أكثر الثيمات التي لاقت صدى لديهم. مأخوذين تحديدًا بالواقع متعدّد الطبقات والحقائق المضمرة في أعمال جان جينيه والمعرض، قرّر الفريق استخدام هذا الأمر بوصفه نقطة انطلاقهم لابتكار هذه القطعة المسرحية. معتمدين على تجاربهم الشخصية، ومستعينين بخليط من الارتجال والابتكار وتقنيات المسرح الجسديّة، تعاون الممثّلون، أسبوعًا بعد أسبوع، على بناء النصّ والقصّة. \nالنتيجة النهائية جاءت على شكل أداءٍ يقدّم شخصيّات تقاوم الهويّة الأحاديّة التي أعطيت لهم، ما يؤدّي إلى استجواب الصراع والحيرة المرتبطين بالبحث عن “الحقيقة”. يعدّ هذا العرض فرصة لكلّ واحدٍ من الممثّلين – مختلفي الهويّات الوطنيّة فمنهم الأردني والسوري والفلسطيني والسوداني، والذين يعيشون جميعًا في عمّان – لاستكشاف وتقديم سلسلة من الحقائق وثيقة الصلة بهم، على المستويات الشخصيّة والاجتماعية والسياسيّة. \nOver the last eight weeks\, 13 young adults have been working to create a performance in response to the exhibition “Stars Are Closer and Clouds Are Nutritious Under Golden Trees.” Working with several of Jean Genet’s texts\, including “Prisoner of Love” and “The Balcony\,” the group began the process by using imagery\, discussion and movement to select themes that resonated with them. Struck particularly by the multiplicity of reality and hidden truths present throughout Jean Genet’s work and the exhibition\, they decided to use this as the starting point for the devising process. \nOver the course of several weeks\, the actors collaborated to build a storyline and script\, drawing on personal experiences and using a mixture of improvisation\, devising and physical theater techniques. The culmination of this work is a performance that features characters who resist the singular identity they are given\, allowing for an examination of the conflict and confusion associated with the search for ‘truth.’ This performance is an opportunity for each of the actors\, who hail from different parts of the Arab world but are all currently based in Amman\, to explore and present a series of truths relevant to them on a personal\, social or political level. \nهذا المشروع تقوده سيناريو، وهي منظّمة مختصّة في الفنون التمثيليّة التقاطعيّة والتعليم التشاركي مع المجتمعات المهمّشة. تتمثّل مهمّة سيناريو، من خلال عملها في الأردن ولبنان، بتزويد الناس بالأدوات اللازمة من أجل التعاون، التفكير النقدي، والتكيّف مع أنفسهم ومجتمعاتهم. تركّز سيناريو، التي أُسّست عام 2015، على العمل مع اللاجئين والمجتمعات المستضيفة عن طريق المسرح التشاركي والجوقات والتدريب المُرتكز على التمثيل وتزويد المدرسين بالمصادر. www.seenaryo.org \nThe project is led by Seenaryo\, a group that specializes in performing arts interventions and participatory education with marginalized communities. Working across Jordan and Lebanon\, Seenaryo’s mission is to provide all people with the tools to collaborate\, think critically\, and become resilient as individuals and in their communities. Founded in 2015\, Seenaryo’s focus is on working with refugees and host communities through participatory theater\, choirs and play-based training and resources for teachers.
