SUMMARY:ضد الإلغاء البطئ للمستقبل
DESCRIPTION:كتب المنظّر البريطاني الراحل مارك فيشر في كتابه “الواقعية الرأسمالية” أن “منطق الرأسمالية ” قام برسم حدود الحياة السياسية والاجتماعية، وأن ذروة اجتماع الرأسمالية مع السياسات النيوليبرالية لم تخطف الثقافة والاقتصاد فقط، بل أنتجت أيضاً ضباباَ استولى على العقل الإنساني. \nتحاول جماليات الواقعية الرأسمالية اقناعنا أن لا بديل عن الرأسمالية، وتقوم بطريقة ما بتعليق التفكير الطوباوي، أو كما كتب فيشر مقتبساً فرانكو بيراردي: “رافق الإلغاء البطئ للمستقبل إنكماشاً للتوقعات”. \nعلى الناحية الأخرى، يجادل بيتر فرايز في كتابه “أربعة احتمالات مستقبلية: الحياة بعد الرأسمالية” أن المفقود من معظم النقاشات عن الأتمتة والتغير المناخي هو الصراع الطبقي. من سيتحكم بالروبوتات؟ من سينجو من التغير المناخي إذا ما كانت عواقبه وخيمة؟ \nيمارس فرايز ما يسميه “خيالاً علمياً اجتماعياً” ليضع أربعة سيناريوهات مستقبلية مختلفة تنتظر الإنسانية بعد الرأسمالية: اثنين طوباويين واثنين “ديستوبيين”. هل يمكن أن نفكر ببدائل للرأسمالية؟ هل نستطيع معرفة كيف ستبدو؟ كيف يرتبط مستقبل العمل بالتفكير الطوباوي؟ ما هي “الآثار السياسية لهذه العوالم المتخيلة المختلفة” كما يطرح فرايز؟ \nسيقوم يزن الأشقر بتقديم هذا الحوار المفتوح استناداً على أفكار فيشر وفرايز وتضمين أمثلة من الفن والسينما ليبين كيف أن النقاشات حول السياسة والصراع الطبقي ومستقبل العمل الإنساني أساسية في التفكير الطوباوي. \nيزن الأشقر كاتب من عمّان، يكتب حالياً في عدد من المنصّات، وهو أيضاً زميل مشارك في جلسات الربيع. \nتعقد المحاضرة في مسرح أسامة المشيني (الساحة الخارجية الخلفية) التابع لوزارة الثقافة في جبل اللويبدة وستكون اللغة العربية هي الأساسية في هذه المحاضرة. \nAgainst the slow cancellation of the future \nIn his book “Capitalist Realism”\, the late British theorist Mark Fisher wrote that “the logic of capitalism has come to delineate the limits of political and social life”. The climaxing of neoliberal politics and capitalism not only hijacked culture and economics\, but also produced a fog that took over the human psyche. \nThe aesthetics of “Capitalist Realism” tries to convince us that there are no alternatives to capitalism\, in a way suspending utopian thinking\, or\, as Fisher puts it in an essay quoting Franco “Bifo” Berardi: “the slow cancellation of the future has been accompanied by a deflation of expectations”. \nOn the other hand\, Peter Frase argues in his book “Four Futures: Life After Capitalism” that what is missing from debates around automation and climate change is class struggle. Who will control the robots? Who will be able to survive climate change if the results were drastic? \nFrase exercises what he terms “social science fiction” to put four different futures that await humanity after capitalism: two Utopias and two Dystopias. Can we think of alternatives to capitalism? Do we know how they will look like? How is the future of work connected to utopian thinking? What are “the political implications of these different imagined worlds” as Frase asks? \nThis public talk by Yazan Ashqar is based on the ideas of Fisher and Frase\, and along with examples from art and cinema\, it will demonstrate how discussions on politics\, class struggle and the future of human work are essential to utopian thinking. \nYazan Ashqar is a writer from Amman. He currently writes for a number of platforms and is also a fellow participant at Spring Sessions. \nThe talk will take place at the Ossama Al Mashini theatre (Ministry of Culture) in Jabal Al Lweibdeh (outdoor backyard area) and will be mainly in Arabic followed by a Q&A session.
