DESCRIPTION:رسم الحرف باللينيليوم\nورشة تقدمها مصممة الخطوط السلوفينية عليا هيرلا مع مصمم الخطوط علي المصري. تقدم الورشة مدخلاً في رسم وتخطيط الحروف العربية واللاتينية باستخدام اللينيليوم وأدوات التخطيط اليدوية مع مقدمة للرسم على الكمبيوتر. يتضمن الورشة أيضاً مقدمة تاريخية ومعلومات عن طريقة تطور الحرفين العربي واللاتيني. \nLETTER SHAPING WITH LINOCUT\nA workshop presented by the the Slovenian type designer Alja Herlah and the type designer Ali Almasri. The workshop serves as an introduction to the craft of lettering and calligraphy for both scripts- the Arabic and the Latin. By introducing analogue and digital tools\, with a focus on the linocut technique. The workshop also includes a historical and theoretical background on the development of Arabic and Latin letter. \nTo register للتسجيل تواصلوا معنا على\nali@alialmasri.com\n00962 7988 28951 \nWorkshop Fees تكاليف الورشة\n150 JOD \nWorkshop Schedule التاريخ:\nApril 21 – 23\nEvery day from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM \nPlace المكان:\nMade of Labs | مختبرات التصميم\nعمّان / جبل اللويبدة / بجانب مطعم أبو محجوب\nشارع حسين الطراونة / عمارة ٧ / الطابق الثالث\nAlweibdeh\, Next to Abu Mahjub\, 7 Hussein Attarawneh st\, 3rd floor \nRegistration Deadline آخر موعد للتسجيل:\n٢٠ / ٤ / ٣٢٠١٧\n20th of April \nالتفاصيل \nاليوم الأول\nسيبدأ بمقدمة عن تطور طرق الكتابة العربية واللاتينية. حيث يتيح تعلم عملية التخطيط فهماً لعملية تشكيل الحرف وبناء عناصره من خلال الفرق بينها. في هذا اليوم سيتدرب المشاركين على خط الرقعة وعلى خط الرومان مينوسكيول للحرف اللاتيني، حيث سيتم إستخدام عدة أدوات مثل القصبة والفرشاة وقلم البرلالل الياباني. \nاليوم الثاني\nسيتم التركيز في هذا اليوم على تقنيات الرسم على الكمبيوتر وعملية تحويل الأحرف من رسوم يدوية إلى الكمبيوتر. فمن خلال طريقة الستنسلز سندمج الأجزاء المختلفة للأحرف ونحولها لرسومات على الكمبيوتر. جميع المفاهيم المتعلقة بالحرف سيتم شرحها بالتفصيل، مثل هيكل الخط وفراغات الأحرف والفرق بين أجزاء الحرف والإيقاع والفراغ. كما سنقوم بشرح خطوات الإنتقال إلي الكمبيوتر بالتفصيل لخلق فكرة واضحة عن عملية تصميم خطوط الكميوتر. \nاليوم الثالث\nفي اليوم الأخير سنعود إلي الطرق الأصلية في نشر الحرف عن طريق الكليشة والضغط. سنقوم بإستخدام الأحرف المصممة في اليوم الثاني لنقلهم بطريقة اللينيليوم. حيث سنستخدم الأدوات الخاصة باللينيليوم لصنع القالب الذي سنستخدمه لطباعة الأحرف على الورق. \nDetails \nDay 1: From Calligraphy to Humanistic Letter Shapes \nIn the first day\, we are going to start with theoretical intro through the history of the Arabic & Latin writing. Learning the several calligraphic techniques will provide an understanding on how the letters are made\, and how the contrast between strokes\, play a rule in shaping the letter.\nContinuing with practical part of the day we are going to start with basic calligraphy strokes of roman minuscule for the Latin\, and the Ruqaa style for the Arabic. With a help of different tools as DIY bamboo pen\, brush\, broad nib pen and parallel pen\, ink and paper. \n\nDay 2: Digitalising Shapes of the Typeface \nThe second day is going to be focused mostly on the digital environment – digitisation of the hand drawn letter shapes. With the help of experimental practise – stencils\, we are going to combine components into letterforms.\nYou will learn the basic concepts of letterforms: stroke\, outline\, counter-space\, contrast\, rhythm and spacing – fundamental elements of the typeface. You will be guided step by step throughout the digital workflow: scan preparation\, correct vector paths and curve optimisation. Achieved knowledge is going to help us to understand the basics of type design. \nDay 3: Linocut\, back to analogue \nOn the last day\, we will return back to the roots – the traditional letterpress technique by using linoleum. Letter shapes that have been designed on the 2nd day will be used as a base for the linocut. The design will be cut into the linoleum with specific tools to create the linoleum cliche، which will be used with a roller to be impressed onto paper.
