Mutaz Jankhot, 13 min, Short Narrative, in Circassian language with English subtitles
An old man, symbolizing the older generation of the Circassian Ubykh tribe, recalls the ethnic cleansing and forced displacement of his people in 1864. He reminiscences about his childhood days and addresses a message to the new generation to preserve the Circassians’ heritage and traditions.
My Name is Makhaz

A young guy called Makhaz comes to Sokhumi city, and thanks to his brilliant drawing skills easily enters the School of Art. However, as the character claims, he couldn’t make it to graduation because of falling in love. The movie tells a story of the hardship he goes through after meeting his beloved one.

An old man tries to stay alive in his home engulfed by war and perseveres amid the violence in Grozny in Chechnya. Based on a true story, “Home” is a sober fiction about the strong primal urge to survive.
